Confident he could add value, Jas harnessed a combination of strong technical knowledge, overall skills and a sound understanding of the actuarial world to fill this market gap. And so SKL Executive, a high-quality, specialised recruitment and search firm for the actuarial profession, was born.

Jas is a qualified actuary (FIAA) with more than a decade of experience in Australia and the UK. He has held roles, primarily in the life and general insurance space, at direct, reinsurance and consulting companies. He has an unparalleled network of connections within the actuarial profession, with strong personal and professional relationships across Australia, New Zealand, the Asia Pacific, and the UK, as well as throughout the insurance sector.

Skilled in the full spectrum of actuarial, insurance, and government sector positions, Jas has led executive searches for a range of strategic leadership roles, including Chief Actuary, EGM Insurance, and Partner/Director for Big 4 consulting firms. Jas is widely recognised as an industry thought leader and regularly presents at professional events. He is frequently quoted in industry publications, and he contributes blog posts.

He believes in the value of learning and growth, both for personal development and business success. He and his team hold a daily ‘meeting of the minds’ to resolve any specific challenges. As Managing Director of SKL Executive, Jas manages both the firm’s day-to-day operations and its growth and strategic direction. Since its roots in actuarial, SKL Executive has expanded both globally and by industry, with a presence established in Asia via our Hong Kong and Singapore offices as well as expanding our search remit into broader roles in insurance and government.

When Jas isn’t forging client-candidate relationships or running the business, you’ll find him either spending time with his wife and beautiful daughters, studying Mandarin, or hitting the golf course, gym or yoga mat.
